| This was a great find. We came upon this by chance on our way to the Metro subway station. Aparently - there were many attempts to build a subway in Athens. The problem was, every time they would start digging they would find another precious archaeological site which would bring development to a standstill. There are many sites like this dotted over Athens. In the middle of busy streets and skyscrapers you'll find a little underground ancient treasure - protected by walls and a glass roof! | |
